Walk 4 the Salish Sea
May 25-28th! Save the Date!

This mass mobilization against tar sands and Kinder Morgan pipeline expansion, for decarbonzation and decolonization, and an urgent transition from dangerous fossil fuel dependency begins at Mile “0” in Victoria and ends in a grand finale right at the Kinder Morgan terminal in Burnaby. From Mile Zero to Ground Zero!

From May 25th-28th, we will march from Songhees territory in Victoria to the Kinder Morgan terminal on Tsleil-Waututh territory in Burnaby to show our support for and solidarity with the 22 municipalities, 59 First Nations and hundreds of thousands of British Columbians who oppose the Kinder Morgan Trans Mountain expansion.

The mobilization will include large marine wildlife puppets, roaming bank actions, evening programs, info workshops, ceremony, reconciliation/talking circles, a rally aboard BC Ferries, and nightly entertainment. The Walk will end with a Freedom Festival featuring mass civil-disobedience teach-ins right at the gates of the Kinder-Morgan Terminal. Accommodations and communal dinners will be provided for registered participants.

SEA is still taking inventory!

Help the local activist community build our capacity and create more impact!

If you haven't already done so, please take two minutes to complete this questionnaire designed to take stock of the skills, talents, ideas and resources we can share among ourselves. The intent is to share these results thereby reducing some of the legwork involved in organizing actions, events, meetings etc. If we let each other know how exactly we can help as activists, it makes it much easier in approaching each other when assistance is needed!

'Hot Buttons' Now Available!

Here’s a simple action that you can take to help shift the tide. Download the No Corporate Christy button design on this website. Send it to people all over the province who, like you, are appalled at the way big money runs the show in BC politics. Make your own buttons from the design – either at home or commercially. Spread the message far and wide, especially in ridings where the Liberals stand a chance of electing a candidate.

Contact Larry Hannant who has buttons available locally at

And stay tuned
for the next facilitated event on decolonization!

The overwhelming response to the first workshop hosted by the Indigenous Solidarity Working Group was a testament to the longing and the need for this important work to take place in the community.

We are working on plans for another event in May!  More details soon!
