Standing Rock 2 Salish Sea:
No Pipelines Global Solidarity!
TIME TO CALL OUT THE BIG BANKS IN VICTORIA!!! Thursday December 1, 5:30
Victoria Public Library Main Branch, 735 Broughton Street
(then onward!)
Please join us in solidarity, from Standing Rock to the Salish Sea, from DAPL to the proposed Kinder Morgan TMX, for water, for wildlife, for climate justice and indigenous sovereignty, to say:
Cut the finances for Dakota Access Pipeline and all other pipelines, tankers and rail expansion of fossil fuel developments and energy projects that don't have indigenous consent or public support. The time to finance safe, green energy alternatives is now!
We will meet in the library courtyard, march, chant and make lots of noise as we lead a procession of solidarity for the earth and her defenders, to the banks at Fort and Douglas, that finance death and destruction for profit. Please bring banners, placards, noisemakers and spirit!
This action is co- sponsored by the Social Environmental Alliance, Indigenous Solidarity Working Group, Turning the Tide, Leap- Victoria and Victoria Council of Canadians, Greenpeace Victoria Volunteer Group.
