The Wilderness Committee have just announced their dates this spring and summer for trail building in both the Walbran Valley and Clayoquot Sound! This is an incredible opportunity to visit these threatened and critically important ecosystems while supporting the growth of eco-tourism as a strategy to halt the horrors of industrial resource extraction. Working under the direction of Friends of Carmanah Walbran and Tla-o-qui-aht Tribal Parks staff over the course of a weekend, volunteer trail builders are ensured a safe and informed access to our precious rainforests and to what makes BC so special! Proposed SEA Speaking Series. Interested in Speaking Up?
In recognition of the diversity and depth of insight SEA members possess and the few opportunities to come together to celebrate that, Ocean, SEA's new communications director is considering starting a SEA speaking series that will draw from this wellspring of knowledge and passion we have for our shared causes. The idea, as it stands at this point, would be to hold a small monthly event where at least four or five radical speakers discuss a range of important issues they are familiar with. The aim is to attract an eclectic variety of audience members mixing and learning in solidarity. If you are interested in stepping up to the mic as a speaker, please contact us. http://socialenvironmentalalliance.org/about-us/42-contact
